First Newsletter!
Hello everyone! Thanks for reading my first ever newsletter. I’m hoping to do these every Friday. My current idea is to use this as a place to share my thoughts on recent MTG events and discourse and to collect my latest videos. I’m definitely open to suggestions for anything else to include!

I’m very much looking forward to Secrets of Strixhaven. It looks like it will be a lot of fun. Prepared is awesome and very novel.
The Elder Dragon cycle is my favorite use of cameo mechanics since the concept began.
My only concern is the seeming amount of changes between the first Strixhaven set and this one (faction-specific mechanics, no Magecraft, different mascot tokens, no Learn). While any of these individual changes could be neutral or positive, it does feel like a lot. I’m most disappointed about the absence of Learn. I, like many, made the mistake of assuming the Avatar Lessons were a precursor to Learn in SOS. The set feels the same flavorfully and thematically though!
